ARCHIVING AND DIGITAL PRESERVATION POLICY

1. PURPOSE

Revue Internationale de Droit et des Affaires is committed to supporting the long-term accessibility, preservation, and scholarly discoverability of its published content.

2. ELECTRONIC ARCHIVE

Published issues and articles are maintained through the Journal’s electronic archive.

The Journal seeks to preserve:

• published articles;

• complete journal issues;

• bibliographic metadata;

• author information;

• publication dates;

• persistent identifiers where available.

3. DIGITAL PRESERVATION

The Journal maintains electronic copies of its published scholarly content and seeks to use appropriate preservation mechanisms to reduce the risk of loss of the scholarly record.

The Journal may cooperate with university repositories, scholarly platforms, indexing services, DOI infrastructure, and recognised digital-preservation services where appropriate.

4. DOI AND PERSISTENT IDENTIFICATION

Where a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is assigned to an article, the DOI supports persistent identification, reliable scholarly citation, linking, and long-term discoverability.

5. WEBSITE OR HOSTING CHANGES

If the Journal’s website structure, domain, technical infrastructure, or hosting arrangements change, reasonable measures should be taken to preserve access to previously published scholarly content and associated metadata.

6. METADATA PRESERVATION

The Journal seeks to preserve bibliographic metadata associated with its published scholarly record, including:

• article titles;

• author information;

• abstracts;

• keywords;

• publication details;

• issue information;

• DOI information where available.

7. COOPERATION WITH SCHOLARLY PLATFORMS

The Journal may provide eligible metadata and scholarly content to legitimate indexing, archiving, preservation, DOI, discovery, and dissemination services in order to strengthen long-term access and visibility.

8. COOPERATION WITH AJOL

If Revue Internationale de Droit et des Affaires is accepted as an African Journals Online (AJOL) partner journal, the Journal is prepared to provide its eligible electronic publication archive, including relevant article PDFs and metadata, in accordance with agreed AJOL procedures and permissions.

The Journal is also prepared to cooperate with AJOL regarding the availability and dissemination of its scholarly content in accordance with the partnership arrangements agreed between the Journal and AJOL.

9. PRESERVATION OBJECTIVE

The purpose of the Journal’s preservation policy is to support continued access to the scholarly record for researchers, readers, libraries, indexing services, academic institutions, and future generations of scholars.
