Abstract

This study focuses on assessing the capacity of the Moroccan legal system for social security to adapt to digital transformations and integrate new groups from the informal and digital economies into the social protection system. The objectives of the study are to analyze the legal and social issues resulting from recent economic developments and to provide recommendations for improving and expanding the legal framework to meet the specificities of the contemporary labor market. The main challenge addressed by this study is the extent to which legislation keeps pace with these transformations and the practical legal obstacles related to achieving comprehensive social protection. The research adopts descriptive, analytical, comparative, and historical approaches to offer an integrated understanding of the subject. The results indicate that the current system lacks a comprehensive legal framework that ensures the necessary protection for workers in the digital and informal economic sectors, highlighting the need for legislative interventions and institutional reforms to enhance social justice and sustainability.
